Issues discussed/Subject:
Project – on a website – with some interactivity – I wanted to know if there have been any issues previously in shows with online work? I.e. connection dropping, not being left on correct page, etc. Trying to think of ways around this, ie pagesaver with link, etc. Cannot do remote view, as it is interactive… I don’t think…
Check that as long as it is live and ‘hanging’ by July 5th (day before assessment) is this ok? If not, and we have to ‘show’ it completed by 28th – how and where if some work is not online?
Questions about the final essay: So are we writing about how the project itself has gone, what we have learned, how it evolved, etc as well as looking at where we will go to next with our work, etc.?
Are we looking at Digital art in general also and where we fit within this, or purely at our own work and progression? I am trying to imagine where we will quote/use references here – as I don’t want it to end up a 3k word rant!!
I know it is strange to say, but it sounds too nice to be a MA / level 7 paper – so there must be some argument we need to enter into/debate, right?

Show
- Suggested separate stand alone server for show.
- Suggested looking at changing the layout as an installation to take away that feeling of the ‘home computer’ therefore stopping email checking, etc.
- Suggested a time-out for when work is left half way through / inactive.
- Suggested Opera, or even Chrome to hide the usual ‘menu’ on screen.
Soulspace animation:
- Liked the animated Soulspace text, and thinks the submission of text a good idea.
- Thought it looked good as simple text.
Essay:
- Remember two things:
- Work in relation to project proposal
- Where you will move with this – how you will take this into the future
- Can reference own blog, and others.
